Job Description

An overview of the role

Our client creates digital services on a national scale, in both the public and the private sector.   They use agile techniques to deliver digital platforms, API's, and user-focused services.  They are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic people to work as part of the team, and to deliver great solutions which are beyond their clients' expectations.

Their exceptional Digital Delivery Practice provides their clients with a scalable agile delivery capability designed to accelerate their digital transformation journey.  They provide specialists across the full product lifecycle, from conception to reality, to co-create exceptional user experiences, launch innovative products, and enter new markets by leveraging our deep global capabilities.

Their aim is to improve lives through user-centred design, collaborative partnerships, and innovative digital services.  Their collaborative approach helps shape the digital future of our clients, builds joint capabilities, and creates an environment where new ideas can flourish.

Why this role

This is a pivotal role that will help people in their everyday lives. You will be responsible for designing the services that will help users manage their interactions with government departments through digital services.

The services that you design will cover a wide range of topics and users, so you will need to be user- focused and know how to design with the user in mind.

Recent times have taught us that working remotely is a successful way of collaborating, but on occasion you will be asked to attend other locations in the UK for short periods.

Why you - What you'll do

Work collaboratively with user researchers, interaction designers, service designers and performance analysts as well as with software developers, policy, and legal teams to produce outstanding digital services
  • Deliver world-class, user-centred services that help transform the way services are used so that they are more efficient, simpler, faster, and easier to use
  • Lead design on easy-to-use, accessible services whilst maintaining a deep understanding of user needs and business objectives
  • Bridge cross organisational boundaries to help make designs a success
  • Lead the design perspective in discussions with teams and stakeholders, highlighting opportunities to establish benchmarks and to identify measures to track the impact of changes

What you'll need

  • Experience creating high-quality service design deliverables, including personas, experience maps, insights packs, user flow maps, and service blueprints
  • Ability to thrive in highly complex service areas?
  • Ability to establish and communicate design solutions that fulfil user needs and business objectives
  • Experience visualising whole, end-to-end services across multiple business areas and government departments

Why Them

They help organisations across the world become more agile, more competitive, and more successful. Smart, tailored, often ground-breaking technical solutions to complex problems are the norm. But so, too, is a culture that's as collaborative as it is forward thinking. Working closely with each other, and with their clients,  you will get under the skin of businesses and to the heart of their goals.

Learning and development

There's an endless amount to learn with and an endless number of ways to do so. You can choose a learning journey that suits your personal aspirations, allowing you to align your own ambitions with their career framework.  You will be supported to get the future you want. There will always be new learnings and compelling opportunities to excite you. As well as having access to a wide range of learning tools and formal training, you will also be part of a strong role-based community that will offer ongoing support, coaching and mentorship.

Work life balance

Our client understands that everyone has varied lives and they want you to have a great work-life balance.   They encourage flexible ways of working, both formal and informal arrangements that allow for the best outcomes for our people and their clients. If this opportunity is of interest to you with some flexibility, they are happy to discuss with you.

Corporate Social Responsibility

They are focused on using technology to create a positive social impact.  They are therefore working to reduce their own carbon footprint and improve everyone's access to a digital world. It's something they are serious about.  When you join, you'll join a team that prioritises positive change.

Potential is just as important to us as having the required skills. If you have the right mindset, they might be able to provide you with bespoke training.? So, if you're not sure you have all the skills you need, but you're still passionate about the role, please apply and we'll see if we can support you.

Our client positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity.  They are committed to hiring, developing, and retaining the best people to deliver innovative, world-class solutions for our clients.  They foster an inclusive culture that enables everyone to achieve their full potential and enjoy a fulfilling career with us.  Their comprehensive flexible benefits package and lifestyle policies enable their employees to balance their individual, family and work-life needs.
